Anyone who knows me or my work will be very aware that I have a thing for moonstone, specifically, rainbow moonstone. Moonstone features in many of my designs and I often find myself intuitively drawn to her and her magical glow. So what is it about this beautiful stone that I find so inviting? Let’s explore her together…

MOONSTONE MAGIC

Moonstone, also known as white labradorite, is a form of labradorite and holds many of the same spiritual qualities, healing properties and, of course, rainbow flashes! She is a stone of intuition and empowered femininity. As the stone of the divine feminine, she awakens the Goddess energy which is rooted deep within us all.  She has moon magic and gently welcomes us to step into our inner knowing. She is a deeply spiritual and transformative stone offering mental clarity, attunement and eases us into trying new things whilst also keeping us grounded in the present moment. She has a high vibration and is considered a useful tool to allow energy to flow freely within our bodies. She activates, aligns and cleanses all of our chakras and our aura, helping us protect our energy field.

MOONSTONE AND THE MOON

Moonstone has always had a close connection to the moon and was first given her name by the Roman natural historian, Pliny, who believed that ‘moonstone’s shimmery appearance shifted with the phases of the moon’. Despite Pliny’s statement being debunked, moonstone's alignment with the moon cycles is part of what makes her so magical! Much like the moon, she has a soothing effect on our emotions and the sacral chakra, making Moonstone the perfect companion for when our emotions and hormones are awry.

This beautifully, nurturing stone, encourages us to take on new opportunities with trust and faith. She is a transformative stone who guides us towards resolution and self discovery and supports our growth. She gives us peace of mind and a sense of purpose within our lives. Moonstone goes particularly well with other transformative stones, such as labradorite. Together, these stones will help tap into our intuition and inner healing, they are a synergistically powerful mix.
