Bestseller Spotlight: Storyteller Collection

Welcome to the storyteller collection – a mix and match charm necklace, designed to help you create your own unique story, through jewellery. As I briefly mentioned in my ‘about me’ post, Storytelling is a very important aspect of my work, and I believe that every piece I create is a gift from my soul to yours. The storyteller collection is a beautiful way for me to encapsulate this idea of storytelling and lets you tell your own story through the pieces you choose.  

A bestseller from the start 

With individuality and magic at its heart, the storyteller collection has quickly become one of my best sellers, and I love seeing your collections come to life (please keep tagging me in your posts). As the charms became more in demand, I started introducing special collections such as the Tarot Cards and Zodiac Charms, and I have been utterly blown away by your responses to these. Many comment on their enchanting uniqueness, while others allude to the sense of magic and elegance they exude.  

Bringing visions to life 

Each charm is crafted by hand from sterling silver using different processes. The Zodiac, Tarot, and Crescent Moon charms are made with an impression die, which is pressed into the silver using a 20-tonne hydraulic press. This process allows for a highly detailed, precise design that can be consistently replicated as a series. Other items, including The Starlight Charm and The Visionary Crystal Ball, are sculpted from a wax carving, which I design, before being cast into the silver. While, some charms, such as the Crystal Ball and the Galaxy Ball, are made entirely from scratch. Please be aware that the Crystal, Galaxy and Visionary Crystal Ball are limited releases, so watch out for the next drop if you want to get your hands on them. The Crystal Ball and Galaxy Ball are my biggest sellers and are in high demand with each release.   

One of my earliest designs, the Unicorn Horn, was cast from a bone pendant and is still enjoyed by my storyteller customers, which reflects the durability and enduring appeal of my designs.

Each charm is hallmarked to signify its authenticity, provided it meets the legal weight requirements. 

Inspired by nature 

As with all my designs, the storyteller charms are inspired by nature, magic and folklore and often reflect my love of the night sky, featuring moons and stars galore! I feel that this connection to nature in my work is especially important as it helps me feel grounded. If I am ever feeling disconnected, then I simply take a walk by the seaside or through the woods with Betty and I often return to the studio full of ideas. 

Building your collection 

The charms are designed to slot on and off your storyteller chain so that you can change or update your story as you please. But don’t worry, they won’t fall off, as you need to give them a little wiggle to remove them entirely. The chains come in various lengths (from 16” to 32”), and you can also choose between a rustic or smooth finish.  

Some people like to swap their charms frequently to align with their mood, the season or their outfit. Personally, I have always had a love of charm necklaces, be it a long or a short chain, so I wear lots of different lengths of the chain to display my charms, at any given time. What I love about this product is the way that it enables you to create a story that is truly your own, while updating it as you go to align with the changes in your journey.
