What Have you learnt about yourself recently?
There are somethings I have learnt about myself during the lockdown of Covid-19 -
I love my own company but I thrive on socialising with others occassionaly too
I need routine, but love the spontunenity of life too
I need to get out in the fresh air, a walk along the beach or in the woods really just calms me on the worst of days.
I need sleep lots of it
I love hugs (ok this wasnt a new thing and anyone who knows me will laugh at this) human connection does really fuel my soul.
Yoga, I started a new routine of 5/6 days a week, morning 15 mins of practice, with 5-10mins of meditation.
Its ok to say no - I am the worst at saying no even when my head and heart is saying it. I suppose in a way I am a people pleaser (although I hate that term) but I want everyone around me to be happy even when its detrimental to my own health.
Self Care - so important and as I am not one to sit in a bath (head is always too busy to soak hence prefering a shower) its difficult for me to sit still. Summer months are definietly easier as I will sit in the garden and read a good book - winter I am not so good at this. Is my yoga and meditation self care too, I expect it is in a way.
Food that nourishes me I actually love it. Clean eating became the norm.
Iām so thankful to be in Cornwall but not in the summer after a pandemic. I havent walked along a beach since July as it got too busy for me.
