Time to reflect with the Final Full Moon of 2024

As we brace ourselves for a chaotic December, let's take a moment to look back over the last 12 months and celebrate the final Full Moon of the year – the aptly named ‘Cold Moon’ in Gemini. 

The Final Chapter 

The final Full Moon of December is upon us, and I can already feel the chill creeping in. Though the sun is shining, there's still a coolness in the air, and the weather has been seasonally unpredictable. Storm Darragh hit us quite hard in Cornwall last weekend and it certainly had me seeking warmth and comfort as we enter 2024’s final chapter.   

The ‘Cold Moon’, also known as the ‘Long Night Moon’, marks a time when the nights are longer, the mornings are darker and nature falls into stillness and hibernation. I love this time of year as we prepare for Yule, one of my favourite Sabbats of the Wheel of the Year, and the Winter Solstice.  

Reflect and Release 

As they always do, Full Moons offer the perfect opportunity to reflect on ourselves and our journeys, but the final Full Moon invites us to review the past month and the past 12. It's a time to look back at the intentions we set at the start of the year, assess how far we’ve come, identify new goals, give thanks to the Universe for the lessons we’ve received, and envision where the future will take us next.
